Start with the official purchase routes
The developer lists Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG as desktop storefronts. Choose the storefront you intend to use: an EGS or GOG product is not automatically a Steam entitlement. A Steam Store purchase normally adds the game to that Steam account; it is different from buying a redeemable key from a retailer.

Read these fields before buying a key
| Field | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Product | Transport Fever 3 base game, not TF2 or an add-on |
| Activation platform | The listing explicitly says Steam |
| Edition | Standard or Deluxe; a Deluxe Upgrade may require the base game |
| Region | Activation and use restrictions match your account and location |
| Seller terms | Seller identity, delivery method and help for a duplicate or invalid key |
| Price | Current regional price and final checkout total |
No third-party retailer ranking, live cheapest-price claim or seller authorization is inferred here.
Activate a retail key on Steam
- Open the Steam desktop client and sign in to the account where you want the game.
- Use the Games menu, then choose Activate a Product on Steam.
- Follow the prompts and enter the purchased product key.
- Check that Transport Fever 3 appears in your Library and install it.

If the key does not activate
Record the exact error and compare the product’s activation platform and region with the seller’s listing. Use Steam’s retail-key help and the seller’s support process. Do not publish the key in a forum post or share account credentials to have someone activate it for you.
If an upgrade appears without the base game, recheck the purchased product before buying anything else. Requirements, activation errors and retailer refund terms are separate questions; keep the receipt and product description available for the relevant support team.

Check the game as well as the key
A redeemable product does not guarantee that a computer meets the game’s requirements. Read the current Steam specifications, the Apple Silicon requirements for Mac, and the patch notes before deciding which edition and platform to use.
