Dimensions below come from the TF3 map-size manual. Areas are calculated as width × height, not measured game performance. The in-game display rounds dimensions; the manual supplies more precise values.

Dimensions reproduce the official table. Its Tiny 1:4 and Large 1:5 rows contain ratio discrepancies; those values are retained and flagged in the lookup.

Enable experimental sizes on PC
Close the game, make a copy of settings.lua in the user-data folder, and set experimentalMapFeatures = true. Save and restart. The manual lists Tiny, Huge, Megalomaniac and Gigantomaniac as additional sizes and specifies at least 16 GB RAM for experimental maps. These file options are not available on console.
The flag also enables changing an existing save’s economy, which the manual warns can be unstable. Keep that use separate from simply choosing a larger new map.

Share a map that someone can reproduce
Record the seed, climate, size, aspect ratio, terrain settings and generator mods together. For a useful comparison, also record start year and town/industry density. Sharing only a seed loses essential context.
This page does not list “best seeds”: a seed only reproduces a map when the settings match. Take a screenshot of your setup and keep the settings with the save.

Handcrafted maps and the editor
Free Game can use generated maps or maps from the editor and Mod Hub. The Deluxe listing includes Redrock Bends, Northern Gates and Emerald Shores. Inspect the enabled edition content when one of these maps is missing.
